Why Mobile Forensic Is Important

Why Mobile Forensic Is Important

If a number of years ago computers were believed to be able to store many important things and data and were the most needed modern tools, apparently this was not the same. At present the function and sophistication of computers or commonly called Personal Computer (PC) has experienced a shift in terms of priority.

Now many types of smartphones have emerged that are far more minimal. Much more comfortable and safe to carry everywhere. For reasons of practicality, a technology called Mobile Forensic was created.

A Forensic Mobile is considered very practical and very profitable because it is only by using a small and efficient and lightweight tool that it can store a lot of important data and compete with computer devices. Especially if the smart phone is well connected to the internet network, then it can be said that important data storage is almost unlimited.

In recent years smart phone technology has exploded and is a favorite for many people. A smart phone can have many highly sophisticated features and not only receive or send voice and text. But with a smart cellphone, other data can now be obtained in the form of call logs, images, the most recent messages, and can even be used as location tracking because there is a feature called data location. So using a tracking system on  smart phones can be known where someone is currently.

In addition, people also tend to store a lot of personal data and important data on their cellphones, so it will make it easier to check and usually a smart phone will be the first item that the forensic team will ask for when something happens.

But this technology also has its own challenges in the world of forensics. Now many are accompanied by features that slightly complicate forensic work. It’s just that lately the development of Mobile Forensics, especially in the software systems section, has been very great at helping investigators in carrying out their duties. For example, to extract and describe the different devices in operation, then making various kinds of applications that support Mobile Forensic performance are always in the most recent or updated state.

Even though this variety of greatness is carried out by Mobile Forensic, investigators cannot hang all work on this system from Mobile Forensic. They must still consider other things as much as data that has been obtained manually, computers, or even on network traffic systems. Make the results obtained wider and more accurate than if only using Mobile Forensic.
